Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn't part of Natalie Conner's plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. And why on earth would he think she's taking pictures of him, anyway? Who is he? One thing’s for sure, he’s hot, and incredibly romantic, feeding Natalie’s wounded soul.
Luke Williams just wants the world to give him a break, so seeing yet another camera aimed at his face has him ready to pounce on the beauty behind the lens. When he finds out she has no idea who he is, he's intrigued and more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can’t get enough of her, but he’s not ready to tell her who he really his.
Natalie is a no nonsense girl who doesn’t do well with lies and secrets. What will happen to this new relationship when she discovers what Luke’s hiding?
I was really hesitant to pick up “Come Away with Me” because it sounded like another book I read and didn’t really like. Luckily a few blogs that I stalk frequently had said some great things about it, and I really needed a break from the whole YA genre. So I bought a copy on my nook and settled in to read a few chapters before bed (I didn’t guess that bed time for me was at about 3 a.m.). I have been so busy with work and the holiday’s and blah blah, for the past few weeks that I haven’t had any time to read. So when I started this one in a quiet house, with nothing on the agenda for the next day I decided to stay up until I was finished. “Come Away with Me” wasn’t exactly a “I have to finish it in sitting” kind of book but it was a great read with well developed and real characters. I was so happy I didn’t have to deal with the constant back and forth “I love you/ I hate you“, the inner monologues, or the “what if he thinks…/Is he lying to me” bull mess that usually accompanies a romantic book. Yes Natalie and Luke had their “issues” and bumps along the road but they acted like adults about it and worked it out together with time. When I say that I enjoy a good insta-love story “Come Away with Me” is exactly what I mean. Two people who happen to fit each other perfectly, and were lucky enough to meet.
