Blogger Crushes!
Today’s Stop & Chat was inspired by Renae of Respiring Thoughts! And for that I want to say: THANK YOU!!! from a fellow creeper. 😉
So let me get into this potentially embarrassing and lengthy post!
When I first started blogging, I like everyone else, had those blogs that I completely idolized. I’m talking a “Hey Arnold” type shrine in the back of my closet kind of idolized. And I’m not ashamed to say that at first it was because they were so big. They were like those creepy mega-churches you see on t.v. all the time, and I wanted to be a member! But as time went on and I started learning the ropes, the number of bloggers I stalked lowered and the names changed. I even started stalking them for real reasons! Who would have thought?! And today, thanks to a tweet that Renae did a few weeks back, I’m going to showcase the blogs that I still stalk (unknowingly to them!) and hope that I don’t get a few restraining orders in the mail.
So I’ve never met Giselle and I think I’ve tweeted her like 5 times but she was the first “super mega blog” I found and began to stalk. Her reviews are awesome and her tweets are hilarious. But best of all she seems like a total sweetheart. 🙂
So umm, this is the blog that made me start Read. Sleep. Repeat. Not only is her blog like ridiculously pretty, her reviews always make me smile. She even has a super cool motto that I’ve repeated to myself with ever blog post I do: “this blog is my happy place“
The dynamic duo known as Steph & Kat….ummm so to put things into perspective Steph tweeted me one day and I may or may not have wet myself a little bit from excitement…and a little of my Pepsi may or may not have came out of my nose. Beside their amazing reviews, Buzz Worthy New post, and kick ass interviews they are thoughtful. A few of the blogs I use to stalk fell off my radar because I felt like maybe, just maybe, they had forgotten that once upon a time they were smaller blogs too! I’d send a tweet or email with a question and would be totally ignored! But this dynamic duo (in my opinion) is so not like that! Their Little Blogger Big Ambitions project is the proof of that puddin’ and I can’t say how much that means to someone who has been given the cold shoulder by a blog I’ve looked up to.
I want you all to know that I did this post not because I want these blogs attention, but because I know how hard it is to go up to your blog idols and say “Hey, I think your awesome”. So I figure if I can do it, then maybe some of you can too? Share what blogs your stalking or just think is awesome below!
