I can’t believe 2014 is over! It’s been a year packed full of awesome highs and crappy lows but above all it was one full of some really awesome books! I decided to do this post separate from our recap survey thanks to my coworker that had the nerve to ask how much I spend on books in a year and if I have a budget. Thanks to Delicious Library I have a very pretty and closely accurate way of showing exactly how much damage I did to my wallet in the name of reading during 2014! I purchased (in varying formats) 92 books!

In my defense I shop when I’m sad..and happy…and angry. O_O
Anywho! Since DL instantly imports the price for each book I can see exactly how much I spent and what the replacement cost would be total if something happened to my babies.
(again, in my defense, a ton came from BookOutlet so it’s closer to 900)
and what author I worship the most:
(in my defense…eh I’ve got nothing. These peeps rock!)
What the average retail cost was and which category I spent the most in
Ok, in hindsight maybe this post was a bit telling of my spending habits when it comes to books. But it could be worse right? There are far worse things to be addicted to than books! And look at all the awesome books I actually managed to read in 2014!
I love my kind of logic!
How much damage do you think you did in 2014? Any gems amongst those? Tell me in the comments below!
