2014 is just about over and you know what that means…time to announce what challenges we’ll be participating in for 2015! After talking to Shelly we’ve decided to tackle the following:
Hannah over at So Obsessed tweeted about a possible “re-read” challenge and I had to jump on board! Re-reading is one of my all time favorite things because it takes me back to books that I love and feel warm and fuzzy about. So Shelly and I both will be shooting for a total of 10 re-reads for the year an we’re just going to wing which ones make that list. No plans, no commitments, whatever happens just happen
2015 LGBT Challenge hosted by Niji Feels
Shelly had a ton of fun with this challenge last year and is planning on knocking out 10 books for this challenge!
3rd Annual ARC August Challenge hosted by Read. Sleep. Repeat.
I’ve hosted this challenge since I started blogging and can’t imagine a year when I don’t scream err encourage people to knock out some of those ARCs! This year, since I am planning to go to BEA again, the grand prize will be a box, of whatever BEA ARCs of your choosing I have bought home with me. Counter productive? Maybe. But I bet there will be some pretties in that box!
Of course we can’t leave out the 2015 GoodReads Challenge!
We all set an overall reading goal and this year will be no different. So Shelly’s 2015 GoodReads Challenge goal is:
That’s right! She’s aiming for 104 books in 2015! A feat I’m sure she’ll hit since she read a total of 162 in 2014!
I, am not as awesome as Shelly. O_O It’s a sad truth I accepted long ago lol. But I’m shooting for more books in 2015 than I did in 2014:
I’m hoping that with everything that happened last year and the settling of the dust this year I’ll have time to enjoy more books and I’ll be in a better mood to read! So 70 seems like the perfect number!
What we will not be doing this year.
As I’m sure you noticed Shelly and I aren’t participating in a ton of challenges or hosting the Series or ARC April challenge. The 2014 Series Challenge overwhelmed me in ways I can’t even express. With almost 300 entrants across multiple platforms I basically started to shut down after a few months. Add in how hectic an shitty life was for the majority of 2014 and I really was a horrible challenge host and for that I truly apologize. So I just think it’s best if I skip the Series Challenge this year.
