In this thrilling follow-up to Tin Star, Tula will need to rely on more than just her wits to save her only home in the sky.

After escaping death a second time, Tula Bane is now even thirstier for revenge. She spends much of her time in the Tin Star Café on the Yertina Feray—the space station she calls home. But when it's discovered that the desolate and abandoned planet near the station has high quantities of a precious resource, the once sleepy space station becomes a major player in intergalactic politics. In the spirit of the Gold Rush, aliens from all over the galaxy race to cash in—including Tula's worst enemy.

I received a copy of Stone in the Sky from the publisher, this does not influence my review.

After reading Tin Star earlier last year, I was super excited for a sequel. I loved its originality and plot, and the main character, Tula, was a refreshing voice. And I’m happy to say that Stone in the Sky lived up to all of my expectations!

When a nearby planet suddenly sprouts a rare flower, alien species from all over the galaxy rush to collect all the rewards. In a Gold Rush-esque tale, Stone in the Sky is the thrilling sequel to Tin Star.

First off, I’d like to say how much I loved how strong and independent Tula was. She was sometimes confused about her feelings, and what she wanted, but I really loved her. She’s tough as heck and so cunning, it’s fantastic to read about her.

The plot twisted and turned so many times, you would have felt dizzy! So many things happened but it was all amazing. I loved that Tula got to explore more of the galaxy and we learned more about the other alien species. The world-building was just amazing and there was clearly so much thought put into it, I loved it so much.

The romance in this one had a slight love triangle but ultimately, I loved how it all played out. I, myself, had a hard time choosing between Reza and Tournour. Will Tula choose the human, one of her kind, or the loveable alien Tournour? I won’t spoil it or give my side, but damn, I loved it so much!

Overall, Stone in the Sky was an amazing sequel to an already great book. I loved reading more of Tula’s story and watching her grow. If you like space adventures and smart characters, I highly recommend the Tin Star series!
