Summer to me is all about no school, extended reading time, trips to the pool, sitting on the porch laughing with family, and of course summer reading challenges. I was that awesomely dorky kid that went to the library WEEKS before the summer reading list was ready just to bother the librarians with books I thought should make the cut. So it should come as no surprise to you that I’m co-hosting the Virtual Adult Summer Reading Program (#VASRP)! When Valerie of He Said Books or Me tweeted out her idea I jumped on the chance to help her in any way she needed. But I don’t want to just cohost. I want to participate! So here is MY #VASRP summer reading list!
The Call by Peadar O’ Guilin
Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova
A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess
Places No One Knows by Brenna Yovanoff
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Don’t Tempt Me by Lori Foster
Jackaby by William Ritter
Beastly Bones by William Ritter
Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter
The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron
The Graces by Laure Eve
The Great Shelby Holmes by Elizabeth Eulberg
Kingdom of Ash & Briars by Hannah West
Reliquary by Sarah Fine
But we all know how much of an overachiever I can be (hello ARC August goals) so I’m not just participating in #VASRP I’m also going to join in on Whitley & Bekka’s Blogger Summer Reading Program!
Whitley & Bekka’s challenge sounds laid back and awesome which is EXACTLY what I love in a challenge. So I’m pledging to read AT LEAST, three books per week. Now I know for a lot of you out there this isn’t a ton but for me…this is pretty big! The goal is to have these challenges overlap as much as possible so it’s like one challenge is motivating the other…if that makes sense. So! Keep your eyes on my instagram and twitter to keep up with my progress!
[…] enjoy them. This summer, I’ll be joining the Virtual Adult Summer Reading Program, hosted by Read. Sleep Repeat. and He Said Books or Me. My goal is obviously to reach the “Book Worm” level of […]
My goal is to read 17-24 books which would put me at Spin Bait Read. I hope to surpass that goal. I don’t really have a list I just read whatever I feel like reading at the moment.
