Today I am super honoured to be a part of the blog tour for Labyrinth Lost! I read an early copy of this novel a few months ago, I was that excited to read it. I’m so happy that I enjoyed it, and that I can share more about it today!

My Thoughts

Labyrinth Lost is just a wonderful novel; full of magic, relatable characters and a plot that’s as thrilling as it is engaging. I highly recommend it for readers looking for a fun new YA series.

Alex comes from a family of brujas, and she is fated to be the most powerful witch in a generation. When her Death Day ceremony goes awry, she accidentally ends up sending her family members to Los Lagos, and must travel to rescue her family. With themes of trust, family and self-discovery, Labyrinth Lost is not only an entertaining but a thoughtful start to a new series.

I loved Alex, she felt like a real teen and I loved reading from her POV. All the other characters were also well-developed, and I really enjoyed learning about all of them. Labyrinth Lost was fast-paced, filled with magic and once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I can see it being enjoyable for both teens and adults.

Overall, Labyrinth Lost is a great start to a wonderful series and I am so excited for more readers to discover it.

Short Q&A

Q: The novel ends with a shocking reveal. What can readers expect to see in the next
Brooklyn Brujas book?

A: I always know the beginning and ending to all of my books. At the end of Labyrinth Lost,
Alex’s journey is finished. I wanted to give her a complete story. But the world
continues. Book 2 is going to be from Lula’s POV. Lula is someone who is super
confident and strong. She doesn’t have the same identity struggle that Alex has in book
1. However, in Book 1 she undergoes something traumatic. This changes her. The book
starts months after Labyrinth Lost has ended. Their world has been turned upside down.
And so Lula has to find her place again. Because I like writing about choices, I want to
explore who Lula is as a person and the things that she cares about. I can’t give away
any spoilers. But I love where the story is going.
