After a much needed break RSR is back and, I hope, better than ever! Shelly, Angie, and I have been busy brainstorming ways to make RSR fun and engaging again and I can’t wait to share with you guys. And the first thing I want to share involves my second favorite season….summer!
I don’t know about you but when I hear the words “Summer Time” two things instantly come to mind. One, the infamous Summertime song by Will Smith….
and the second thing is my childhood library summer reading program.
Now my county (while huge) was pretty under funded so our library program wasn’t about fancy prizes. We participated for something even better. Bragging rights. Who read the most books. Who read the most pages. Who crushed the non-fiction list. It wasn’t a fancy contest but we worked so hard during it. So I wanted to bring something similar to RSR this year. We often get caught up in ARCs and giveaways and I’m hoping this will take us back to a time when we read just for fun and conversation.
Now the rules of the game are simple! You have from June 15th to August 15th to read as many books as you can or care to read from a list you created and linked below. As you read use the #RSRSummerTime tag to brag about your progress, get support from other participants, or just to help motivate yourself! Remember this is about fun.
The linky is only open until June 15th so make sure you sign up soon! And stay tuned for more bookish new post from RSR!
Yay – so glad you guys are back – and totally rocking it as usual! Love this challenge 🙂
