Happy Decembers bookish (and non-bookish) nerds! I’m so excited to have the desire to blog again and what better way to show that excitement than with a new series?!
With 2018 coming to a close, and me having read literally almost nothing, I thought a good way to catch up and come back to blogging would be by looking back on books that have released throughout the year. Specifically I plan on reading and reviewing the most popular book published for a given month every day until New Years Eve. To keep this list fair I’m using the “Most Popular” lists from Goodreads, and will ONLY be reading books in genres I would have normally picked up. For example
The first two books? I wouldn’t have picked up even if I wasn’t in the reading slump to end all reading slumps. I mainly stick to YA, Sci-Fi, Urban Fantasy, Fantasy, and on occasion Romance books. So mystery thriller? Adult fiction? I passed and went to the next book on the list that 1) fit my reading taste and 2) was next popular within those parameters.
But Shelly (who has seriously read 181 books at the time this post was drafted) will be doing her 12 Days of 2018 a bit differently!
I loved Octavia’s idea and I’ve actually already read some of the books on Octavia’s list! I think for some days we’ll do a joint review but for other days I’d love to share my favourite underrated release for that month! It’ll definitely be a fun way to look back on my reading year and I can’t wait to get started.
