Pipsticks®+Workman® Gift Line: Planner Set Review!

Posted July 26, 2018 by Shelly in Stationery Review / 1 Comment

Hey everyone! I legit never thought that this day would come but I am so thrilled to be reviewing a stationery set for y’all! If you follow me on my instagram, then you know that one of my passions is bullet journalling and anything related to stationery so I was thrilled when I got the chance to review this particular set. This collection is a collaboration between Pipsticks, a sticker subscription company I’ve always wanted to try, and Workman Publishing. It’s the perfect collection for stationery enthusiasts and planners alike.

For this review, I’ve decided to divide it up into sections about each individual set and then my overall thoughts on all 3 products!

How I Tried It

For the purposes of this review, I decided to test out all three products and plan out the first week of August. The products that I got (with official links) are:

The notepad
The planner (with my notes in it)

As you can see, I filled in a bit of the notepad and the planner. I’ll go into my thoughts on it more below.

The Planner

cover

I really liked this planner. While it is a bit crowded and somewhat dense, I do think that the three column system works. As you can sort of tell, I divided my journal into three sections. The very left corner I left for work-related things. The middle column I left for blogging and the right column I left for personal things. I like to fill in my journal at the end of the day with updates on what I did, sort of like a diary. I left the right most column blank so that I can fill that part in as the days go by.

I chose this specific planner because this cover is my favourite. All of the planners are adorable but I just love this design. Each planner comes with stickers (which you can see that I’ve used!) which makes customizing your pages more nice. It also has a file folder at the back so if you need extra pages to go inside, you can definitely do that. Despite the fact that the planner is very well organized and cute, it is a bit large and perhaps could be inconvenient for people who prefer smaller planners that they can conveniently carry and whip out.

NOTEPAD

coverI love the notepad. I use a bigger notepad regularly so I actually think I prefer this thinner size for on-the-go planning. It doesn’t come with as many stickers on the inside but I really do love it. I can definitely see myself using it all the time.

STICKER BOOK

coverThis stationery line is specifically focused on stickers and I do think this sticker set is a nice touch. I really love the different sticker pages and the different themes (ranging from exercise-related to reading to tea). I think this would be perfect for someone who’s already used to using stickers and extra stationery tools regularly whereas since I’m not used to it, I don’t necessarily see myself as someone who will remember to reach for it. This book also comes with postcards so that may be either a positive or negative, depending on what your thoughts are on postcards. If you do use stickers regularly, this is perfect for you.

OVERALL

I really like all the items in this collection. I can’t recommend every single item to every single person but if based on what I said you’re considering purchasing some items of the set, I highly recommend it. Everything is really great quality and if you’d use the products often, I think it’s definitely worth the money.

  1. Ah, the planner is so spacious! I’m debating getting the new Ban.Do planner for the school year or sticking with my 2018 Hobonichi, which goes to the beginning of next year. Hmm, decisions decisions! This set is really cool though; I think I’d enjoy the stickers the most. And I can kind of relate to your statement of not remembering to reach for them. I use mine for penpaling more than planning. XD
